Membership FAQ

Everything You Need to know

For our new Zoo experience.

I’m a member. Do I really need a timed online ticket?

Yes, you do! Everyone visiting the Zoo (except infants under 2) needs a timed online ticket. They are free for members.

Do my guests need one too?

Yes, EVERYONE needs a timed online ticket. You may reserve as many guest tickets as are covered by your membership type.

I’m trying to reserve a ticket time, but my member ID isn’t working/I don’t know my member ID. What do I do?

Make sure you are using the most current member ID. If your membership has been renewed, changed, or if you have had any lost cards replaced, your member ID has changed.
Check your email. You should have received an email with your most current member ID in early June. If you did not receive an email, please email us at

Can I exchange tickets?

Timed online tickets are non-refundable, but as a member you may obtain them free as often as you like.
However, you may ONLY enter at your ticketed time.

What should I expect at the Zoo? What is open and closed? Is it safe?

CLICK HERE to find out all about new hours, open and closed exhibits, Keeper Chats, the one-way walking experience, safety procedures and more.

Do I need to bring anything when I visit?

Yes! Please bring your timed online ticket (either printed or on your phone) and ID. Zoo staff will check them at the park entrance. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your ticket time. Please wait in your car until 5 minutes before your ticket time, then walk down to the front gate to have your ticket scanned at the no-touch entry.

Anything else?

You should also plan to bring a water bottle (refilling stations are OPEN, drinking fountains are CLOSED), and credit/debit cards for in-Zoo purchases. Food and drink are available at outside kiosks (the cafe is CLOSED). Outside food is not allowed, except in cases of dietary restrictions. Bring your own stroller/wheelchair/electric scooter if you need one (no rentals).

What about masks?

We are requiring everyone ages 5 and over to wear a face covering at all times.

What if I am unable to wear a face covering due to a medical condition?

We understand that some people have medical conditions that are affected by wearing face coverings. However, to keep all our guests, staff and animals safe and healthy, we are requiring ALL guests (ages 5 and older) to wear face coverings while visiting the Zoo – no exceptions.

If guests don’t have a face covering when they arrive, a face mask will be provided to them. All staff members and volunteers are also required to wear face masks while working.

Tuesdays 3-4 pm are reserved for people with a medical condition, mental health condition or disability that prevents them from wearing a face covering.

Who should I name as the 2nd named adult on my membership?

I have a nanny. What’s the best membership for me?

The Household or Deluxe Household memberships can work for you but the nanny must be a named adult on the membership in order for him/her to receive admission when bringing the children to the Zoo without you. Do I need to include children under the age of 3 on my membership?

Children aged 2 and under receive free admission to the Zoo; therefore, you do not need to include your child on your membership if he/she is age 2 or under. If your child turns 3 years old before your membership expires, you may add a child to your membership (or upgrade, if you’ve purchased a 1+1 membership) at any time.
