Paul Titus Carousel
Take a Spin on a Carousel
What will you ride on? A rearing horse? A zebra? Maybe a tiger? Or a Pacific Northwest slug?
Take a spin on our vintage Paul Titus Carousel and add some sparkle to your Zoo visit.
Tickets: $2 per ride ($1.50 members) during Zoo hours.
Our re-created wooden carousel was originally built in 1917 and is located in the DeFalco Family Pavilion at Milgard Plaza, just inside the Zoo’s front gates.
The carousel features 30 large and four small animals, a sled, and space for wheelchair riders. Hand-carved and painted, the carousel animals were created by the Washington Antique Carousel Society and Friends.
Washington state themed horses can be found on the outer ring; endangered species and native Northwest animals are on the inner ring. Local artists are featured on carousel murals.
