Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium is a community leader in conservation, research and educational programming. Through our Vision Keeper program, you can help build and maintain a quality facility for generations to come.

Vision Keepers take the lead in supporting world-class exhibitions, educational programming and animal acquisitions.

Vision Keeper Club donors enjoy regular member benefits in addition to special access to behind-the-scenes tours, talks and events.

Your tax-deductible Vision Keeper donation will support innovative education programs, close encounters with wildlife on Zoo grounds and local and international conservation projects connected to the animals seen at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.

Annual giving supports special projects focused on the Zoo’s animal care, education and conservation missions, as well as supporting the operating costs of Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.

The Annual Giving Program supports the following initiatives:

• Animal Care: Help maintain the standards of care necessary for an accredited facility to participate in endangered species programs such as our work with Clouded leopards, Sumatran tigers, and Red wolves.
• Education: Provide low-income school field trip scholarships and support the operations of the Marine Discovery Center and other school-based programs to improve science education in Tacoma.
• Conservation: Help protect endangered species in their native habitats and involve Zoo staff in a variety of local and international conservation education efforts.
