We'll bring the Zoo to you!

The Zoo's outreach team travels all over Pierce County and surrounding areas. We would love to introduce you to some of our Animal Ambassadors! We'll travel to schools, retirement homes, community centers, libraries and more.

Animal Encounters

Get up close and personal experience with 2 or 3 of our Animal Ambassadors. Depending on the number of animals requested, an encounter can engage participants for 30-45 minutes. We can accommodate participants ages 4 and up.

Our outreach programs support the Washington State Science Standards with a focus on adaptations and conservation.

Limited to 30 participants per program and 4 programs per day.

Wildlife Lessons

Looking for a more structured program? Wildlife Lessons include fun animal information built around an educational theme, an encounter with one live animal, and a chance for participants to examine animal biofacts such as skulls and pelts.

Our outreach programs support the Washington State Science Standards with a focus on adaptations and conservation.
