Discover, imagine, and play together

Visit the Zoomagination Station! Designed especially for children ages 3–5 and their grown-ups. You can make a craft, visit the little library, explore themed activities (including a science station!) and let imaginations run wild with costumes, props, puzzles, and more.

Children of all ages are welcome to join with their adult(s), but younger participants will get first access to activities. Drop in to the Education Center anytime between 10:30–11:30 a.m. and stay for five minutes or the full hour—it’s up to you!

Free with zoo admission or membership.

Taking Care of Animals

Just like you, animals need tasty food, clean water and a comfy place to sleep. Some animals like to play with toys; others like to have places where they can hide. The zookeepers, aquarists and veterinarians work together to make sure that the animals are healthy and happy! Would you like to work at the Zoo?

October 15 & 16
Spots & Stripes

Do you like to play hide and seek? Some animals can keep themselves hidden better than others. They can blend in so well they almost disappear! Having spots or stripes can help animals hide. So can have dark fur to keep from being seen at night or having white fur to blend into the snow. What color would you want to be if you lived in a forest? What about a desert?

November 19 & 20
Oceans of Fun

Sea stars, sharks, seals and sting rays all make their home under the sea! Can you imagine what it would be like to go to fish school? Or to swim as fast as a sea lion? Have you ever danced with a jellyfish? Come make a splashy craft and transform yourself into a marine animal!
