Private Botanical Garden Tour
The Zoo is a great place to see animals, but it’s also a botanical garden with a diverse array of plants from all over the world. These plants are an essential part of our Zoo community; they recreate habitats for our animals and can even be used to provide them with leafy enrichment.
On this tour, you’ll spend time getting to know the Zoo’s more rooted residents with a member of our horticulture team. Your tour guide will introduce you to some of the fascinating adaptations that help plants thrive in different habitats. You’ll learn about the ways our horticulture team works to recreate these habitats so that they can successfully grow unusual plants from around the world right here in Tacoma. All in all, it should be an unbe-leaf-able experience!
This experience can accommodate up to 10 people; participants have the option to book all spaces on a tour if they would like a private experience.
