From camps and overnight programs to small group learning, there's something for everyone who wants to learn more about animals at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.
Zoo Campers participate in lively lessons about animals, ecosystem exploration, creative crafts, and group games. Each camp is tailored to a specific age group and themes vary each year. If your young explorer loves animals, art or exploration they will enjoy spending time with us at the Zoo this summer. We focus on fostering empathy and respect for wildlife in all of our programs. Enjoy an evening of adventure! Explore the secret world of the Zoo after dark, dive into hands-on activities, and learn more about your favorite Zoo animals. Private Snoozes are perfect for organized groups such as Scouts, church groups and schools. We also offer three Public Snooze opportunities each year. Learn more.

Ages 3 to Adults
Young learners ages 3-5 and their accompanying adult will enjoy a fun animal story, make a craft, and come face to face with one of our amazing animals as they enjoy an enrichment item, training session or make a personal visit to our classroom! Keeper for a Day
Teens and adults can get a taste of what it would like to take care of animals in a zoo or aquarium. Participate in hands-on activities, meet staff and see some behind the scenes areas. Learn more.
PDZA's new action learning club invites youth in grades 6 - 9 (or home school equivalent) to join us on this wild adventure. Youth will explore animals, develop empathy for wildlife, make friends, and do action projects that make a difference in our natural neighborhood. Learn more.
