Endangered Sumatran tiger Indah, born at Point Defiance Zoo in 2014, is now back home in Tacoma. Come see her make her public debut Friday, April 2 through Sunday, April 4.

Indah is one of the tiger triplets born at the Zoo in 2014. Guests had the rare privilege of watching the three young tigers grow from small bundles of orange and black fluff to maturing adolescents.

To Tacoma
In 2016, Indah left Point Defiance Zoo as part of a recommendation by the Species Survival Plan® for Sumatran tigers. Now, we're excited to welcome her back home to Tacoma.

Endangered Sumatran tiger Indah will make her public debut at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium on Friday, April 2, at noon. Endangered red wolf receives novel operation

Specialists at Oregon State University’s veterinary hospital operated Tuesday on a rare red wolf from the breeding program at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Washington. Chester, who was born at the Tacoma, Wash. zoo nearly two years ago, is one of only about 260 red wolves remaining in the world.
