This year marks the 25th Anniversary of The Zoo Society's annual gala, Zoobilee, which started in 1990 as a summer event full of food and music. In 2012 the event changed to what it is today--a fun and philanthropic raising money to support the animals, education, and conservation efforts of Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.

Over 800 guests will come together to enjoy this incredibly unique summer event under the stars with festivities including:

  • Sampling of signature bites from the best local restaurants
  • Cocktails provided by Heritage Distilling Company
  • Up-close encounters with some amazing animals
  • A marketplace of silent auction items sure to tempt
  • A gourmet dinner artfully prepared by X Group Restaurants, Catering & Brewery
  • NEW: 25th Anniversary Twilight Stroll - an after party for the record books!
    • Signature bites and delectable desserts from local restaurants
    • Chance to win incredible raffle packages
    • Dancing under the stars
VIP Guest tickets are $225 per person ($200 for Zoo members) and includes the reception, silent & live auction, gourmet dinner, VIP Jellies lounge and the Twilight Stroll. Guests arrive at 5:30pm. [These seats have reached capacity and a wait list has been created. Please contact Lisa Johnson at 253.404.3651 for information.]

Zoobilee, which raised over $369,000 in 2014 and cumulatively over $1 million since changing formats in 2012, supports the efforts of Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium around excellence in animal care, conservation initiatives and all-ages education programs. The Zoo is a national leader in endangered species breeding and reintroduction efforts and is a fully accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). It is the only combined zoo and aquarium in the Northwest, with annual attendance of more than 700,000 visitors.

We hope you'll join us this summer on July 17, 2015!
