Asian Forest Sanctuary

About the Asian Forest Sanctuary
Exotic and mysterious, reverent and inspiring, this lush exhibit complex introduces you to the vanishing species of southern Asia. Sprawling over five acres, there are six exhibit areas with many viewing points, as well as a waterfall, streams, ponds, mineral licks, and bamboo forest.

You will quickly discover why this exhibit is called a sanctuary. Interpretive signs will help you understand conncections between yourself and the natural world and why it is important to act now to preserve the world's last few wild places.

Visitors are invited to watch the elephants come into the Elephant barn every afternoon for their dinner. The elephant staff is available daily to satisfy your curiosity about these amazing animals.
